Perspectives on Race and Community in the Lehigh Valley

<p>Students from 17 different colleges and universities gathered in Bethlehem Pennsylvania to explore the issue of racism through multimedia journalism. They interviewed and photographed community members business owners and Lehigh Valley leaders. In just one weekend the students created video clips updated our social media channels and designed this book. Readers from the area may find the personal lived experiences of the participants both deeply troubling and inspirational. It is disheartening to learn about the microaggressions and overt racism that Black and brown people here endure yet their perseverance and triumphs are simultaneously uplifting. The participants shared their stories with the hope of raising awareness of racism. The students hope that their work informs educates and changes readers.</p>
