Pesticide use and its effects among commercial farmers of Chitwan Nepal

Farmers in developing countries are exposed to pesticide hazards due to unsafe handling of pesticides. In spite of regular use farmers are lacking in practices on safe handling (buying mixing spraying storing and disposing) of pesticides leading to an increased potential risk of pesticide poisoning. Improper handling of pesticides is common in developing countries and there is a paucity of research on the actual magnitude of pesticide poisoning. Thus this book will make a significant contribution to scientific knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with occupational exposure to pesticides.
