Peter and the Boycott

The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a thirteen-month mass protest that wassparked by the arrest of Rosa Parks on December 1 1955. The MontgomeryImprovement Association (MIA) with Dr. Martin Luther King as presidentcoordinated the boycott to take place on Dec. 5 1955. It was his fi rst role as a civilrights leader.This would be an important day for ten-year-old Charles Patt erson Everett IV(Peter) who doesn't quite understand all the talk about boycott s.
