Phenology and in vivo digestibility of (Arachis pintoi)

About The Book

Arachis pintoi stands out for its general acceptance due to its adaptive qualities in the reduced management of protein alternatives in the tropics in the face of the deficit schemes of the basic feeding of ruminants in the reduced management of protein alternatives in the tropics. The objective was to evaluate the phenology production nutritional chemical composition and in vivo digestibility of A. pintoi and to establish mathematical models to determine the nutritional value and production based on the chemical composition of the plant. In the first phase experimental plots of 10 x 15 m with four replications were used while in the second phase the experimental unit was a sheep (n=4). In both trials a completely randomized experimental design was applied with a linear additive model using a significance level of 5%. A linear correlation and regression analysis was performed between phenological variables chemical composition digestibility and energy.chemical composition digestibility and energy. The results obtained are included in this book for an adequate utilization according to the cutting age with the purpose of using its nutrients expressed mainly in terms of protein and energy.
