We all know that with each passing year there are more and more people living on Earth technology and infrastructure become more complex and the frequency and scale of man-made disasters steadily increase. Ideally the reality of man-made dangers should trigger a commensurate social reaction giving rise to collective protective mechanisms based on an analysis of the past an assessment of the present and a prediction of the future.
