The Story Follows The Family Starting With Ernest'S Going To College-Not The One His Parents Hoped He Would Attend-And Phoebe'S First Infatuation With The Male Species. From There It Goes On To Follow Phoebe'S And Then Ernest'S Falling Under The Influence Of Cupid The Interaction With Friends And Family Bertha Martin'S Suffering With Empty Nest Syndrom And Grandchildren Coming Into Their Lives. This Is A Well Written Book That Was Popular When It Came Out In 1910-1912. A Good Old Fashoned Family Story.
