Photochemical air pollution modelling

About The Book

This scientific contribution is devoted to one of the most important phenomenon related to human life which is the air pollution dispersion and concentration in the atmosphere. Much attention has attracted from the scientific community in the last decades for the evaluation of the spatial and temporal distribution of air pollution from both monitoring and modelling points of view at different scales. The present study describes the structure and chemical composition of the atmosphere and the important issues in the development of photochemical pollution in the Tropospheric level. Moreover the structure of numerical models in addition to the fundamental equations of fluid mechanics governing the atmosphere dynamics in the atmospheric boundary layer are also investigated. In last chapter two selected applications of local-scale and mesoscale simulations of air pollution are performed.
