The professors of basic high school and higher education institutions specifically in Higher Education have sometimes considered that Physical Culture Physical Education and Physical Activity do not represent a substantial contribution to the integral formation of the student at the levels of knowledge concretion. There is little evidence of the protocols proposed to address or understand the relevance or importance that physical activity can have on the academic performance of Ecuadorian university students. The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between physical activity to improve academic performance which is a fundamental part of the student''s integral and professional formation. The research is quantitative with exploratory scope socially adapted to involve the spheres of knowledge psychomotor cognitive affective and social through the application of surveys to students and teachers of the UTI 2014 Quito it was possible to determine that physical activity influences the academic performance of university students.
