Physical growth and nutritional status of children aged 6 to 11

The purpose of this study was to analyze the levels of physical growth and nutritional status of children from a municipality in the metropolitan region of Curitiba Paraná (BRA) relating the data on Body Mass Index (BMI) Waist Circumference (WC) and Waist to Height Ratio (WHtR) of Brazilian children with children from other countries in the world through determining curves and percentiles. The study itself provides health indicators so that new health research can be carried out to combat childhood obesity identifying the psycho-social aspects that can influence adulthood.
