<p>Newcastle upon Tyne 1956</p><p>Cross-dressers are being murdered in the seedy Pink Lane area. </p><p>DI Michael Metcalf and his sidekick DS Al Hughes are stumped while rookie WPC Betty Morgan has ideas of her own.
