Pirarucu (Arapaima gigas) in the Northeast Region of Brazil

National fish farming is undergoing rapid development particularly in the Northeast Region. Currently there is a demand for new techniques for farming native species. The book aims to present the procedures for introducing pirarucu in the Northeast Region of Brazil providing information to producers and researchers on the management and identification of stocks using molecular biology techniques to generate higher quality fry and consequently increase farmed fish production.
