PISA AND TIMSS REQUIREMENTS IN PRIMARY MATHEMATICS EDUCATION

This study examines the strategies and methodologies aimed at enhancing the quality of primary mathematics education in Uzbekistan with a particular focus on international standards such as PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) and TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study). The research highlights the necessity of modernizing curricula adopting competency-based approaches integrating interactive technologies and promoting innovative pedagogical methods to develop students' mathematical literacy problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
