PLAN TO CONSERVE ARAVALLI

The Aravalli is oldest mountain range and a diverse eco-system running in around 692 km across Delhi Haryana and Rajasthan.As per the Central Government records 31 hills or 25% of Aravalli have already been lost to illegal mining deforestation and encroachments.25 percent of the Aravalli range has been lost due to illegal mining in Rajasthan since 1967-68.Protecting Aravalli is critical for North India. Suggestions by the citizens that can help the Government to take concrete actions may be expedited.NCR Draft Regional Plan – 2041 to be strengthened.All these issues mentioned above are covered under the 5 chapters of the book.
