Planar and Nonplanar Solitary Shock Waves

A rigorous theoretical investigation has beenmade on nonlinear propagation of electrostatic perturbation modes(ion-acoustic and dust-ion-acoustic) in an unmagnetizedcollisionless degenerate plasma (containing bothnon-relativistic and ultra-relativistic degenerate electronsnon-relativistic degenerate ions and without/with charged dustgrains). This electron-ion plasma (without/with dust) model hasalso been generalized by including the presence of relativisticpositron. The degenerate pressure is provided by the electronsand positrons whereas the inertia is provided by the ions.
