The term „plastic? first used in the Trade Journal Plastics in 1925 comes from the Greek word plastikos.Plastics have been a substitute for metals and glass.Plastic though appears to be a completely beneficial material it may be very dangerous because it produces harmful gases while burning.Plastic can be broadly classified into Thermoset plastics and Thermoplastics.Recycling plastic is one of the potential solutions to prevent releasing plastic garbage in the environment.All these issues have been covered under 6 chapters of the book.
