PMU Placement in Power System Network

This work gives idea of optimising the cost of monitoring the power system network by installing pmus at most optimal locations subjected to various network constraints. the work carried out is first tested on IEEE 14 30 118 bus system followed by northeastern grid of Indian power grid. integer linear programming is used as optimisation tool..this work also discusses the restricted channel capacity and provides most optimal locations for pmus to be placed.
