<p>This poem book is the first complete work by Charles Wayne Cumbie. He started writing poems when he was 51 years old with his initial inspiration coming from Lincoln’s <em>Gettysburg Address</em>. It was so impressive and so moving that he was inspired to parody the address with the subject matter changed to family instead of soldiers starting him on his <em>POEMED</em> journey. </p><p>Inspiration to write comes from everywhere: loved ones lost ones dealing with cancer. More than just inspiration is captured in the pages of POEMED: concepts and insights on old age religion politics and more are told with a rhyme cadence and story-poem style telling. Two-hundred and seventy poems span these pages and bring you into the world and unique perspective of POMED.   </p>
