Poetry for Teachers

<p>There's a poet inside every person but it needs to be encouraged.  </p><p> </p><p>Poetry can be expressed in a variety of ways. You notice it right away in a variety of genres. For the high-achieving student or troubled student poetry can bring the best features in a child. I encourage all teachers to have their students write their own poems and share them aloud. You will build camaraderie in your classroom and your students will have a new appreciation for writing.</p>
