Poetry on Fire

<p>It is a tradition of poetry to be elusive figurative and complex.</p><p></p><p>Although my book maintains the skillful evasiveness of old-fashioned practices it does not pay tribute to Shakespearean literature. It is not poetry for professors or scholars with degrees in the art of interpretation.</p><p></p><p>My poetry written in the language of the working class is designed to evoke feelings or paint vivid scenes-yet presented metaphorically connecting to the routines of everyday life.</p><p></p><p>Unlike first-rate poesy it embraces the harmony of street talk and an effortless choice of words flowing naturally to convey an idea or a dream.</p><p></p>
