Policy Practices and Challenges of Staff Training and Development

This publication is based on an empirical research conducted in the area of professional learning training and development practices. The publication attempted to incorporate a wider range of literature in the fields of human resource development and higher education. Furthermore it addressed professional development from formal (Structured) and non-formal settings such as Communities of Practice (CoP) in an institutional context. Particularly the empirical case study has critically questioned the rhetoric in ''research-intensive universities''.
