Political participation by young people of African descent in Peru

The aim of this publication is to discuss democracy political participation social movements and racism among Afro-descendants in Peru and Latin America in order to analyse and understand the influence of Ashanti Peru the Peruvian Network of Afro-descendant Youth on the political participation of Afro-Peruvian youth. The problem of the lack of Afro-Peruvian youth leaders who can contribute to the struggle of Afro-Peruvians in political spaces is motivating the Afro-Peruvian movement to consider the importance of promoting a generational renewal so that young Afro-Peruvians can continue the struggle for the human rights of Afro-descendants.
