Political Reflections: A Compilation of Articles of a World in Crisis is a configuration of articles dissecting a globe entrenched in turmoil. It highlights political theories notably realism liberalism and idealism and in so doing demonstrates how political power and undemocratic styles of leadership are major contributors to social unrest. It also emphasizes the role of dominant Bretton Woods international regimes the likes of the United Nations and the IMF that at times are contradictory and consequently complicate the process to peace and prosperity. Unfortunately the text casts a shadow on North/South relations by lending a voice to disparity in the Americas Europe Asia and Africa and the consequences thereof. Most disturbingly throughout is the revelation of a cycle void of leadership amidst challenges originating from health scares (e.g. COVID 19) and ideological conflicts that perpetuates varying forms of insecurity to mankind worldwide. In summary the book shares consistency in its description of a world that continuously perpetuates division and destruction while begging recognition for a reversal to the current state of local and international political affairs.
