In fact as a more complex concept it was viewed by different scholars in different ways over time. However in order to provide a meaningful starting point for this research the researcher employs a key definition of democracy. Democratization refers to the process of enabling people of all socioeconomic backgrounds genders and races to participate in elections and political processes. This book examines challenges of democracy or controversial issues such as clashes of ideas the use of illegal force political theft and problems related to weak governance all of which have an impact on Ethiopia's democratization process. In terms of the democratization process prospects if it is carried out peacefully Ethiopia's initiated democratic reform will serve as a model for the rest of Africa's neighboring countries.
