Politics of Scale

<p> The volume develops research in Critical Heritage Studies by:</p><ul> <li> Providing a <u>multi/interdisciplinary</u> point of view to politics of scale and heritage-scale relationship. Contributors to the volume have their disciplinary background in: geography cultural studies art history museum studies sociology political science literature linguistics gender studies and art.</li> <li> Providing a <u>global perspective</u> to heritage. The geographical focus of the volume includes regions and countries in four continents: Asia Australia Europe and Northern America.</li> <li> Combining in the analysis three crucial points of view: <u>concepts</u> <u>institutions</u> and their <u>policies</u> and heritagization <u>practices</u>.</li> <li> Providing a <u>theoretical discussion on scale as a social construct and a method</u> in Critical Heritage Studies.</li> <li> Discussing multifaceted meanings of scale that are not only about levels such as global national and local but also about spatialized social and cultural <u>borders and border-crossings</u> and about scale in <u>digital platforms</u>.</li></ul>
