Poor Pepe

Maria at 14 journeys with a caravan through Mexico to the U.S. border as an unaccompanied teenager hoping to leave behind the horrific conditions of her native Guatemala. The dangerous trip to Americas border has left her with emotional scars and secrets that she is afraid to share with her son Pepe. Pepe is conflicted; he lives in a wealthy Hispanic-American community but his mother cleans the houses of the rich. Pepe is ashamed. And he doesnt know who his father is; his mother will not speak of the man.
