Poppybug!

A young poppy bud sees a ladybug and believes he looks a lot like him. I am Poppybug! announces the young bud to all off his friends in the meadow. When they try to tell him that he is not a bug he refuses to believe them. Finally after speaking with Old Oak young bud realizes that everything he will become is inside of him. This beautifully illustrated picture book is a treasure filled with valuable life lessons. It teaches about the life cycle of the poppy flower and is a great resource for teachers and parents of children ages 3-8. Poppybug! is the third book in the Montessori Storybook Series published by Virginia Lynn Anderson. The books were inspired by an art residency she did at a Montessori school in Connecticut. The paintings she created inspired the stories.
