Pore Scale Simulation of Three-Phase Flow

Pore-scale modelling that combines an accurate description of the pore space with a detailed analysis of pore-scale displacement physics is auseful tool for understanding multiphase flow in porous media. From a practical perspective it can be used to make predictions for situations that aredifficult to study experimentally. The study here shows that even for rather complex displacements this approach is able to make accurate predictions while revealing the subtlety of the influence of pore-scale displacement on macroscopic behaviour.
