Poro Comes Home

<p>Johnny Boy lives in a highlands village in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and has a pet pig called Poro.</p><p>Poro was chosen to be part of the exchange (commonly called bride price) in Johnny Boy's sister's wedding and was taken with the newly-wed couple to live in another Province. This saddened Johnny Boy until he had opportunity to be reunited with Poro. </p><p>Here is another delightful adventure with Johnny Boy and Poro set in the Highlands of PNG following on from the author's first book <strong>Poro The Pig</strong>. The story illustrated by the author throughout introduces the reader to cultural aspects of life in PNG and is an excellent way to showcase Melanesian culture for readers from other cultures while providing familiar cultural material for PNG readers.</p>
