Which is more important, the love of a person, or the lure of a place? It was 2013 and Edinburgh welcomed another stranger, except this one thought he’d come home. It was not the Yorkshire Dales of his childhood but it was a place that had always been special to him. Now as an adult he was there, looking for love, yearning for fatherhood. Excitement was in the air. The independence referendum heralded a renaissance for an old nation and like it, his new role in the city meant that his own future was bright. But would it deliver and would he find love with any of the three women who claimed his attention?
