About The Book

Author Lavern Spruill tells the compelling story of the downward spiral relationship between a young Black girl named Lee growing up in America with her family.Lee is a ten-year-old writer poet and idealist who believed that her drug-addicted mother would be okay just as long as Lee stayed out of trouble and took care of the home. Lee will soon realize that her mother and grandmother are trapped in a cycle of drugs and mental abuse preventing her from being raised in a stable home.
