Post and Core

Post and core is required for restoration of extensively mutilated tooth to retain a crown. It increases retention by replacing the lost tooth structure. In the past decade removal of teeth was suggested for grossly carious tooth but in the present’s era approach has been more towards conservative therapy. Currently there are newer materials and advance techniques available by which successful treatment can be achieved based on clinical diagnosis to preserve the natural dentition.
