Post COVID-19 sequels

The outbreak of COVID-19 caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 began in December 2019 in Wuhan China. Acute respiratory complications during SARS-CoV-2 infection were the first focus of interest of the medical community especially in people with comorbidities. Today post covid has become a worldwide public health problem with organizations such as Santé Publique France estimating that 30% of patients have this syndrome. In this work Dr. Rebouh focuses on the sequelae in patients who survived COVID-19 examining the clinical data and exploring the underlying pathological mechanisms. By providing an in-depth analysis of this critical issue this study contributes to the overall understanding of the effects of COVID-19 on human health and paves the way for new preventive interventions.
