Postcolonial Consciousness and Identity Crisis in Rushdie���s Fiction

Salman Rushdie‟s contribution to Indian English Fiction gives full scope to meditate upon social scenario around which is a great thing on the part of an author. The important concepts as “Postcolonial Consciousness‟ and “Identity crisis‟ are the major issues of postcolonial literatures especially in Indian context. Rushdie’s two important novels as Shame and The Last Moor''s Sigh reflect these issues prominently.
