Posterity

<p>Punk Slick Dumpy and Sweet—as they were known in the group home they grew up in—are diverse in genetic backgrounds but united in one tragedy: they are all survivors of a medical experiment that salvaged aborted fetuses. Now as a civil and racial war engulf America the four find themselves on their own quests namely to find the families who cast them aside and ultimately to make the family they never had.</p><p>Craig Baldwin started writing <em>Posterity: The Story of Our Future’s Past</em> during the <em>Roe vs. Wade</em> Supreme Court hearing and Baldwin’s pediatrics residency as a medical student. <em>Posterity</em> became a moral odyssey for him. Decades later the story remains fresh. <em>Posterity</em> is the story of complex fully developed and very human characters even though they were thrown away before they could launch in life. In the end their salvation is in reproduction and the creation of a loving warm and complicated family. That they could do so is exactly the point <em>Posterity</em>. Indeed it is the point of humanity.</p>
