Power Balance

Power Balance is a novel that is by turns dystopian and utopian and above all human. It follows Brodie as a coming of age story from her earliest days to her destiny as an adult. Her parents are neither all sinner or all saint they have their flaws but are also motivated to protect her and help her develop under challenging circumstances. Keeping an inquisitive mind bound is difficult but in Brodie's case it was for the better. She lives in a world of special powers however her skills have been under the eye of the evil side since birth. Brodie's relentless inquisitiveness has her insist on reading materials from both the evil side and the forbidden good side. As a result of this she learns there's a whole different world beyond therough area that she currently lives in.This experience sets in motion a chain of events that will alter not only Brodie's life but also the course of the war. Will being spirited away to an underwater school called The Core be the answer to her destiny or will it single her out for committing treason to the evil side?
