<p>Powerful Learning Strategies that Schools Don't Teach provides a roadmap to better performance at school.</p><p><br></p><p>Surprisingly most high schools don't teach students HOW to learn. This book is a collection of learning strategies I developed while teaching and doing my PhD that help students to do just that; learn how to learn.</p><p><br></p><p>Each resource has been tried and tested in high schools forming the Learning Strategies Curriculum and in one-on-one tutoring settings.</p><p><br></p><p>A teaching colleague the parent of a Year 11 student wrote that 'The Learning Strategies Curriculum was the most important thing my daughter learned at school.'</p><p><br></p><p>Overwhelmingly students surveyed on the strategies find them engaging and effective and both parents and students report strong improvement in school performance.</p><p><br></p><p>The strategies can be used in every subject at any year level.
