Some stories untranslated in Vol.1 have been chosen illustrated and newly translated and edited by Tamara Moreton author of the Practical Russian Readers Vol.1 & Vol.2 Beginning students of Russian will appreciate and gain value from perusal of the Russian text together with the English translation and children will find interest and entertainment value in the English text as they grow towards an understanding of the Russian language. Each story has been supplied with its own vocabulary list to enable the student to link the translation to the Russian word to enhance understanding of how the Russian word has been used in the translation. Each story has been supplied with its own set of exercises. Answers to certain exercises have been supplied.
