The current articles here are based on inscriptions from around 10th to 15th century AD. Also contemporary literature is used as supplementary source. In the context of religious social and economic studies based on the inscriptions many ancillary sources such as literary works including contemporary inscriptions on aspects such as disputes between different religions in this medieval Karnataka the nature of those disputes their effects on the social system and rampant inequality among local religions etc. Apart from cultural studies there is a need to do subaltern studies in an analytical way and critically as the field of legislation has been neglected by advancing the economic aspect and interpreting the movements created so far in legislation.
