Pre-Service Teachers' Perceptions of Integration and Inclusion

The notion of including children with special needs into the regular classroom is a controversial issue globally and in a small island nation with minimal resources it becomes even more challenging. The role of educators in making inclusive education work is crucial and attitude is one key contributing factor. For individuals who are trained to be teachers it is important that they have a positive attitude towards the inclusive phenomenon. This book provides a snapshot into the views of pre service teachers in Samoa towards including children who have special needs into the regular classroom.
