Premature rupture of the ovular membranes

Premature rupture of membranes is associated with high morbidity and mortality regardless of gestational age. Maternal morbidity is related to intramniotic infection or postpartum infection and fetal morbidity to prematurity; sometimes it may occur in term pregnancies mainly due to respiratory problems neonatal infection intraventricular hemorrhage and necrotizing enterocolitis.This book presents perinatal outcomes in preterm pregnant women with premature rupture of the ovular membranes.
