The development of a safe acceptable affordable effective and reversible contraceptive choice for men has always been a great challenge for researchers throughout the world for more than 30 years. The available male contraceptive approaches are confined to traditional (abstinence and withdrawal) barrier (condom) surgical (vasectomy and vasoocculusive devices) chemical and immunological. However all suffer high failure rate (abstinence and withdrawal) limitation in compliance (condoms) side effects (chemical) and reversibility (vasectomy); none of these has emerged as an ideal approach for fertility control in men.
