Pressing Ceramics with Air-Release

In the developing world environmental health interventions are possible almost anywhere depending primarily on local clay and ceramic materials. Even in the poorest communities there are local ceramists who produce such products as water storage containers cook pots and construction brick. They are capable of a whole lot more and when they produce ceramic water filters and insulating ceramic rocket stoves their communities will be able to engage in projects of safe drinking water and clean cook stoves. No longer will it be necessary to cut down trees for production of charcoal and wood fuel. No longer must they be so dependent on outside help.
