Prevalence of headaches

About The Book

Headaches are one of the most frequent symptoms in the neurology department. They are subjective manifestations whose most common functional sign is pain. The objective is to study the prevalence of headaches in students of the Faculty of Medicine of the UEA. The study is cross-sectional with an analytical aim. Data collection was conducted over two weeks from mid-November 2017 to the end of November 2017 in the graduating classes of G1 to Doc 2. The target population was students of the Evangelical University in Africa medical school. For cluster sampling we adopted a 2-level strategy: undergraduate and graduate. Our sample size was 476 regularly enrolled students in the medical school of the Evangelical University in Africa (UEA) selected randomly and occasionally based on the consent of the respondents (students) to participate in the study. This study the first of its kind in BUKAVU shows that headache also affects the young population and has a negative impact on the students of the UEA medical school.
