Recurrent urinary tract infection (RUTI) in patients with vesicoureteral reflux is a common condition which leads to complications. Management depends on the pathogen and antibiotic resistance present. Materials and Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional observational study conducted in 96 patients with vesicoureteral reflux seen in the Pediatrics Service of the Children''s Hospital Dr. Roberto Gilbert Elizalde during the period 2015-2017 with the aim of determining the prevalence of recurrent urinary tract infection in this group. Results: a prevalence of recurrent urinary tract infection in patients with vesicoureteral reflux of 35.41% was obtained. The mean age of the patients was 2.92 years the majority of patients belonged to the 1-5 years age group (n=41; 42.71%). Of the total number of patients with recurrent urinary tract infection (n=34) the majority resided in urban areas with 79.41% (n=27).
