Both novels were originally published in 1955 by Gold Medal Books under the authors pseudonym Malcolm Douglas. Set in Spain and Italy they both offer as described by the Mr. Hardboiled blog “brisk well-crafted and solid entertainment that delivers the requisite square-jawed two-fisted action and hardboiled murderous criminality in a two-hour jolt.”
