About The Book

In surgical terms trauma may be defined as “a physical force that results in injury.” In the overall literature the etiology of maxillofacial trauma has received little attention despite the fact that injuries to facial skeleton are clinically highly significant. The management of the trauma patient is not often encountered in a major trauma center with unlimited resources but usually in an isolated home office roadway or other location with limited resources that usually does not treat complex trauma patients with great frequency. Key management concerns related to the care of injured patients which usually involve stabilization of the patients in these isolated field & then transportation to trauma center.
