This book employs a refreshingly unique approach to address the age-old dilemma most Christians face with regards to how to properly ask and receive from God. The author acknowledges the confusion amongst believers as to what constitutes acceptable prayers of petition what to ask for how to ask for them and hindrances to answering prayers. The book also cited some true stories of people who asked and received and those whose disobedience caused them not to receive from God. Copiously quoting relevant scriptures the author boldly employs spiritual and theological precepts to provide answers and clarity to these questions. Yet the author is equally quick to acknowledge that while God is perfectly and lovingly willing to grant the desires of the Christian heart He will only do so at His perfect timing if our petitions are made per His Will and if those desires are ultimately in our best interests. Finally the book not only highlights the fact that we need to be constantly on guard against the devil’s plans to hinder all our worthy effort at effective prayer but also provides spiritual strategies for countering the wicked antics of the devil in our lives.
