Principles of project management applied to the health sector

This book reviews the principles of project management its concepts main processes phases life cycles management systems the different types of reports organization and structure of project management units. It also reviews those concepts that involve human capital the culture in the organization the participants the elaboration of reports before during and after the execution of the project the communication between the actors of the project and its relation with other administrative and technical disciplines in this case with the organizations in the health sector. The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) is one of the public institutions that defined the country''s path in Costa Rica in the twentieth century. It has several departments one of which is responsible for infrastructure and technology projects which internally consists of four directorates that are responsible for the institution''s macroprojects. In this work reference is made to how the CCSS applies the principles of project management as an operational tool in the administration of health services.
