The present investigation of experimental type had as objective To determine the effect of the learning based on problems as didactic technique in the development of the analytical thought in the students of the fifth cycle of the School of Professional Formation of Primary Education UNDAC. Yanahuanca in the subject of Leadership. The investigation was developed in the UNDAC. Yanahuanca with a sample of 12 students of both sexes from a population of 52 students.Based on the design of the methodology after the application of the proposal and the statistical treatment the result was that the students before the beginning of the execution of the investigation had a low level of the development of the analytical thought; because they do not manage to surpass the 10.53 points of the arithmetic average within the vigesimal qualification system. Likewise through the information of the post-test instrument it has been determined that the students of the sample have significantly improved in the development of analytical thinking with an arithmetic mean of 17.27 through the application of problem-based learning as a didactic technique.
