Problems in General Physics

Problems in General Physics; is a comprehensive textbook containing around 1900 problems for students pursuing advanced courses in Physics. The most complicated problems carry a hint to help students work out their solutions. The book covers the entire syllabus in 6 parts. These are – Physical Fundamentals of Mechanics Thermodynamics & Molecular Physics Electrodynamics Oscillations & Waves Optics Atomic & Nuclear Physics All topics are further sub-divided into a number of topics. Every topic begins with a detailed summary of the topic with principal formulae relevant to solving the problems of that topic. In case of more complicated problems explanatory notes have also been provided for better understanding. All formulae in the book have been used in the SI standard except in the Sixth part which has Gaussian System instead. Major physical constants and tables have been provided towards the end of the book along with the Table of Elementary Particles and Periodic System of Elements. There are ample problem sets after each topic which help aspirants revise and apply their learning of a chapter. All questions have been provided with answers and solutions after Part Six along with Appendices for better comprehension of concepts.
